NCC has an exciting new opportunity as our Debt Collector in the Collections Department. The Collections Department is the team that recovers overdue payments on accounts, ultimately generating high revenue for the company. As a key member of our Collections Department, you will be responsible for contacting individuals worldwide, in pursuit to collect past due balances and discuss reasons and solutions for non-payment of accounts.

Training Schedule:

Work Location:

• Alexandria, VA
• The position is on-site. Remote opportunity based on performance.

Position Responsibilities:

• Initiating outbound calls to assist consumers in resolving their delinquent accounts.
• Process incoming payments: duties include entering payment into our database, request paid invoices, and charge credit cards, per request.

• Maintain notes of collection activities in FACS Workstation
• Provide thorough and accurate documentation of collection efforts of customer accounts through our internal communication channels, as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.
• Following the account guidelines outlined in documents/training materials.
• Balancing the effective utilization of on-phone, wrap-up, wait, and talk time.
• Achieving production goals.
• Demonstrating precise client understanding.
• Ensuring monthly compliance reports meet acceptable standards.
• Promptly and effectively addressing account and departmental needs and issues.
• Adhering to Federal and state laws as well as company policies in daily operations
• Fulfilling any additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Desired Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Bilingual Spanish verbal and written communication is essential.
• Two to Five years of similar or related collection experience.
• Ability to communicate with staff and the public.
• Skilled in negotiation and able to work independently.
• Ability to identify solutions that enhance productivity and improve services.
• Ability to understand and respond to individuals with a big picture perspective.
• High degree of discretion, judgement, tact, and professionalism, both in person and on the phone.
• Active listening skills are essential.

Work Schedule:

• This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with one required Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, scheduled in advance.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate: $18.00-$20.00 per hour.
• Potential monthly earnings from commission.
• Expected work hours: 40 per week.
