The E&I Technician (Electrical & Instrumentation Tech) will provide technical support for process engineers, local IT integration with plant systems, vendors, and contractors.
Your Responsibilities
- Daily assignments to include troubleshooting of plant equipment, calibration of critical instrumentation devices, and any other electrical/controls/Automation control systems as deemed necessary to assure the maximum uptime for plant equipment and systems.
- Provide technical support for process engineers, local IT integration with plant systems, vendors, and contractors.
- Act as plant resource of Electrical and instrumentation schematics and P&ID library both paper and electronically.
- Act as plant resource of PLC programming change management system. Provide continued plant/service support as required to meet Production demands and as deemed necessary by Head of Technics. Become proficient in Siemens “function block programming” through self-taught and vendor trainings evolving quickly into the facility Subject Matter Expert on the Ruhland designed Compounding line control scheme. This will include becoming the SME in recipe management and integration for compounding rooms.
- Utilization of the latest tools and methods to safely diagnose problems within electrical control systems, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Hardwire control circuits
- PLC, PLC I/O, drives, feeders, and other control system interface wiring
- PLC firmware, configurations, and programming
- Motion control systems, such as VFD, servo, and linear systems
- HMI systems firmware, configuration, and programming
- Weighing, feeding, metering, and robotic systems
- Network configurations, setup, and interface programming
- Proficient in software and OEM programs such as: Wonderware applications, Allen Bradley control-Logix 500, 5000 software, Allen Bradley RSView studio and Panelview software, Allen Bradley RSnetworx, Controlnet, and devicenet software.
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical and instrumentation experience
- Food & beverage industry experience
- SAP experience
