What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAT Project Coordinator position at Native American Development Corporation?
This project is an Indian Health Services (IHS) grant award which focuses on a Community Opioid Pilot Project designed to establish medication assisted treatment within clinical settings.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in gathering resources and information to implement upcoming tasks and strategies of the project. The primary duties include but are not limited to coordinating events and activities, maintaining budgets, work schedules, organizing and participating in meetings, and ensuring deadlines are accomplished. The position works closely with the Project Manager to perform various coordination duties.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary.
- Facilitate project goals and objectives to meet deliverables and outcomes.
- Evaluate potential problems and technical considerations.
- Develop solutions related to improvements.
- Plan and manage team goals, project schedule, and new information.
- Monitor current project and coordinate with all team members to keep workflow and progress on track.
- Track and monitor track project related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored.
- Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and other forms of communication channels (e.g., telephonic, telecommunication, and email).
- Communicate with all stakeholders to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives, when necessary.
- Coordinate participant engagement meetings to help ensure the integrity of project deliverables
- Adhere to budget and monitoring requirements related to the project to include federal and state compliance, laws, etc.
- Other duties as assigned and/or project related.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education):
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working as a project coordinator with experience working with diverse populations, grant budgets, reporting, and tracking management systems.
- Demonstrated experience working with behavioral health, primary care, and substance use disorders, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, and medication interventions desired.
- Experience working with crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, and medication interventions desired.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and take instruction from multiple levels.
- Sound judgement with consideration for patient safety and quality improvement preferred.
- Possess high-level precision and self-directed motivation moving a project from conception to delivery.
- Possess strong working knowledge and application of computer software applications (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, etc.)
- Project management experience desired.
- Ability to pass a background and driver’s license check upon offer of employment.
- Montana Driver’s licensed with good driving record and proof of auto liability insurance if required.
