What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager/Supervisor position at Natron Energy?
Natron is seeking a Production Line Supervisor to support NPI, production and ramp up of its Battery Plant. Key process steps include: Slurry material handling & mixing, Electrode coating, and Electrode slitting & calendering. Tenacious commitment to continuous improvement with thoughtful, collaborative and disciplined execution is a must. Over time, this role will specialize to oversee either the Mixing, Coating, or Assembly Department.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute production for battery electrode
- Gather requirements for development builds and production builds, plan Sub Assy builds to meet the requirements of Final Electrode demand.
- Support New product introduction activities by providing guidance online technical capability.
- Assign tasks to a team of 10-12 technicians to accomplish production output goals, communicate requirements to the team and monitor progress, establish priorities, revise schedules, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Help with recruiting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Maintain safe & clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to comply with established policies and procedures.
- Work effectively with cross functional teams to support the implementation of new equipment, fixtures, and procedures to improve yield, uptime, cycle time and throughput.
- Work with other cross functional teams to determine root causes of product defects, poor product performance, line down time.
- Solicit production feedback on existing and new products introduction and process changes.
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor in Science, chemistry or engineering degree.
- Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment with at least 3 years leadership experience preferred, chemical, coating and electrochemical hardware devices experience is a plus.
- Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Production Planning.
- Prior experience processing in chemical industry or in battery electrodes (slurry mixing, slot-die coating, calendering, etc.) or is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in timely intervening in process yield, equipment downtime problems and follow up to closure.
- Technical aptitude to understand details of product, material and process characteristics.
- Experience working in complex, dynamic and hybrid development/sustaining production environment is a plus
- Knowledge of 5S, SPC, OCAP, Control Charts.
- Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Logistics:
- This is a full time, permanent position.
- Employees must work on site in Holland.
