Salary Range

USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $24.00/Hr.

Overview

The job in a nutshell:

This position supports the Operations and Customer Service departments in driving the overall successful operations of the stores.  This is accomplished by providing effective solutions and supporting Operations in maintaining current SOPs, manuals, and documentation to ensure all are up to date and accurate; and answering incoming customer phone calls and routing them appropriately.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

  • Maintaining existing operational policies and procedures for accuracy, including all Operations manuals, binders, etc.
  • Drafting new SOPs and QRGs in collaboration with Operations and Customer Service departments.
  • Working with the SSC departments to update and maintain SharePoint documents.
  • Assisting with creation and maintenance of document masters for each store location of unique store forms such as opening, mid-day, and closing forms.
  • Streamlining existing manual processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Assisting with administrative duties for Operations projects as needed, including sending materials to stores, creating and ordering manuals/binders, etc.
  • Support Operations Compliance department as needed.
  • Answering incoming customer service phone calls and providing world class customer service during calls.
  • Transcribing details from customer service phone calls and routing issues appropriately.
  • Providing accurate information to customers and members of the customer service department to lead to a positive solution for the customer and the Company.
  • Supporting stores as needed, including for Operations project rollouts.

    Qualifications

    Recipe for Success:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Familiarity with Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage policies and procedures as well as with NGVC products and vendors and their representatives a plus
  • Previous NGVC store level experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers as well as vendors and outside organizations
  • Possess excellent, professional communication and writing skills and detail oriented
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel spreadsheets and Publisher
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work easily with multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Ability to remain calm under stress
  • Motivated self-starter working with minimal supervision, thinks outside the box
  • Process improvement experience

    O = Occasional; 1-33% of time

    F = Frequent; 34-66% of time

    C = Constant; 67-100% of time

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 20 lbs.
    • Must have the ability to occasionally push or pull up to 30 lbs.
    • Must be able to constantly use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
    • Must be able to constantly sit, stand, grip and use fine motor manipulations.
    • Must be able to frequently walk, bend, twist, and turn.
    • Must be able to occasionally squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach outward and reach above chest as needed.

     

    Environmental Requirements:

    • Must be able to work frequently with noise, contact stress and congested worksite.
    • Must be able to work occasionally with outside, cold, heat, wet, humid, sharp tools and equipment, heights, dust, fumes, and vibration.
