Job Description
We are seeking a highly efficient and meticulous individual to manage our Ingredient Documentation and Regulatory processes. This position is an integral part of the Quality Management team. This candidate will work closely with our vendors, our sales team, and warehouse personnel and will be responsible for the following functions:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and continually improve our product research and product qualification processes
- Confirm product technical data with our vendors, and learn to assess the quality of a product based on analysis data.
- Author Certificate of Analysis and Specification sheets, order and organize third-party authored Safety Data Sheets, and complete regulatory documentation requested by our customers
- Oversee document control and archiving processes
- Inspect incoming product documentation for approval
- Supervise quality inspections of aging products
- Submit applicable test requests to lab for retesting
- Analyze and report lab test results with recommendation for inspection resolution
- Organize and maintain vendor documentation
- Utilize our database system to review, verify and update product data
- Organize product details and assist with preliminary research in preparation for the development of our marketing assets
- Maintain our Organic, Kosher and Halal product databases and communicate with our certifiers to approve new products to our certification
- Conduct our annual organic audit with our auditor
- Provide technical data and support to the sales team as required

- Ability to maintain clear records and notes regarding daily progress

- Must have strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Must be able to learn the products and their important qualification criteria
QUALIFICATION:
- Knowledge of Chemistry and/or Biochemistry
- Experience in a Laboratory or R&D environment
- Proficient on Mac and overall ease with internet and server systems
- Writing Skills preferred, especially Technical Writing
- Prior experience with regulatory documentation is preferred but not required
Training will be provided, however, core skills and competencies are required. For the right candidate, this position allows promotion and room to grow in responsibility.
