Supplier Quality Assurance Technician

Shifts Available: (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Location: Carson City, Nevada

Pay: up to $22.50 - $500 sign-on bonus - 5% bonus for meeting quarterly goals - Overtime and Other Incentives

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with onboarding process and ongoing assessment of suppliers.
• Assist in Food Safety Plan reviews where required.
• Carry out supplier verification activities in accordance with schedule to ensure supplier risk management strategies are effective.
• Verify compliant receipt of raw materials and ensure adherence to the manufacturer COA.
• Conduct raw material assessment activities to ensure suppliers meet or exceed quality standards and expectations.
• Drive improvements through reporting of non-conformance issues from suppliers.
• Knowledge or self-motivation to understand raw material process and relevant legislation requirements.
• Familiarity with food laws, regulatory guidelines, and food hazards

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Degree in Chemistry, Food science, Microbiology, or other relevant scientific discipline preferred or previous experience in Supplier Quality Assurance/Quality Assurance in food manufacturing or food-based industry.
