We are looking for an experienced director of global sourcing and procurement to oversee the selection, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts with global suppliers and vendors. Successful candidates will have built strong relationships with global suppliers, manage the end-to-end global procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, bidding, purchasing, and contract negotiations. They will develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.They will successfully identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. They will Monitor and control procurement budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. In addition, they will conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, pricing, and sourcing strategies to optimize procurement activities. They will also identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or compliance violations. Also, develop and implement contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted procurement operations

In addition, the will establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.. They will Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, Quality, OBU leaders, Finance, Operations, and Legal, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives. Also, participate in cross-functional teams and projects as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Sustainable Sourcing Skills develop and implement the Sustainable Sourcing 3-year Roadmap translating the current NSP corporate sustainability goals into a reality partnering with global and regional vendors.

Cost Saving Negotiating skills identify and implement cost savings in NPI (non-production items) negotiating centrally on behalf of NSP for regional offices and Business Units. Currently NPIs are not under purchasing.
- Leading Negotiation Skills combined with Financial and Legal acumen. This leader is a negotiator that can translate financial goals (cost, payment terms) and supply chain goals (service levels, lead times, quality specs) into contract legal terms.
- Leading knowledge in the nutritional supplement industry and its key players in the botanical world (farmers, processors, and distributors) and non-botanical world (minerals, vitamins and supplements).

Pragmatic knowledge building NEW business processes and comfortable knowledge in data analytics (ERP, EDI, statistics). We need an experienced driver, not a passenger.

Managing and cultivating new and existing relationships with large portfolio of suppliers, and global manufacturers; Research and anticipate shifts in the the need for specific supplier in global markets;

Negotiate better supplier contracts and secure profitable deals; formulate, manage, and execute cost savings and innovation proposals;

Work closely with planning team to ensure raw goods are purchased to ensure products can be manufactured on-time to meet market demands.
- Develop and implement forward thinking procurement strategies to both optimize spending and minimize risk and generate savings;Development of KPIs for strategic sourcing to drive continuous improvement;

QUALIFICATIONS

BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Management, or related field. MBA or MS degree preferred
- 7 year's experience in sourcing, procurement and/or materials management;
- Experience developing and leading high-performing teams;

Comprehensive knowledge of botanicals, vitamins, minerals, purchased finished goods and packaging supplies
- Strategic planning and procurement acumen

Working knowledge of contract law, as it relates to purchasing, accounting, inventory control, and logistics
