Cafeteria Worker @ SPC

Working as part of our customer-facing team you will ensure that high quality and healthy food and drink are prepared and served to café and catering customers from a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Be a positive role model and engage with students and faculty at every opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food, making coffee and tea;

• Ensuring café is fully stocked at all times and can meet the menu at all times, notifying the manager promptly of any shortage;

• Clean the café areas, inside and outside and ensure they are hygienic at all times;

• Check that all café equipment is in good order and promptly report any damage;

• Follow the normal operating plan, ensuring correct opening and closing procedures are followed in a timely manner;

• Assist with preparing food for events;

• Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, cleanliness and professionalism and use your own initiative to respond quickly to issues or challenges that may arise when you are working;

• Welcome anyone who enters the café, creating a positive and welcoming environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in food and beverage industry preferred

• Knowledge of catering practices preferred

• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment as part of a team

• Past customer service experience

• Attention to detail

• Reliable Transportation

• Physical Fitness (job may require standing for long periods of time)

Salary: Up to $15.00 per hour
