Nature’s Way is looking for a Consumer Insights Associate Manager – Innovation to join our Consumer Insights team! You will join a team looking to inspire the organization with strategic and actionable insights that help build and grow our brands, enabling them to break through in a highly competitive and fragmented environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to the innovation project team to uncover, develop and launch breakthrough innovation that places consumer needs at the center. You will study consumer behavior and market trends to uncover areas of opportunity, develop POVs and hypotheses to guide ideation, and facilitate consumer studies that will result in a strong pipeline delivering on business objectives.
Partner closely cross functional teams through commercialization of existing breakthrough innovation projects and future validated ideas to deliver commercially and financially viable product platforms.
Help build and activate frameworks and capabilities that will unlock deep understanding of relevant consumer, cultural and competitive trends to inform the innovation pipeline.
Help identify a pipeline of fresh business building ideas that drive incremental growth for our portfolio. This includes product and packaging in current and future contiguous categories.
Lead development of innovation learning plans to uncover unmet consumer needs, evaluate concept potential and assess product experiences, and optimize launch execution using a combination of traditional and lean experimental methods.
Find synergies and gaps in learning plans and/or improve the research planning process.
Own relationships with primary research partners to help design, execute and deliver insightful research reports that meet strategic business objectives.
Proactively uncover innovative research methods and continuously improve current methods to enable quicker, consumer-informed decision making.
Consistently deliver findings in an engaging and impactful manner, cutting through the complex to tell a simple, compelling narrative to influence consumer informed action.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, psychology, economics or related area of study or combination of education and/or related work experience
Minimum 2 years insights / strategy / research / analytics / psychology experience preferred
Experience conducting primary research (qualitative and quantitative) and synthesizing information from syndicated sources (Nielsen, Mintel, etc.)
Proven project planning, organizational and communication skills with the ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines and has a bias to action
Demonstrated comfort and openness with adapting or pivoting when change is required and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments
A team player, who thrives on working collaboratively, inspiring others, and bringing out the best in the wider team.
Passion for innovation, driven by curiosity and the desire to serve consumer needs.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to influence business and cross-functional teams.
