Credit and Collections Manager

Naumann Hobbs is seeking an experienced and detailed- oriented Credit and Collections Manager to join our finance team. The Credit and Collections Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate processing of all accounts receivable transactions, managing customer relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable management, exceptional organizational skills, 3rd party portals and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. This position manages and ensures the company has controlled approval of credit, accurate billing of customers and timely collection of cash from outstanding accounts. The position will place emphasis on continuous improvement and drive ongoing focus on building an effective and efficient organization that effectively manages the billing and cash flow as well as exemplary customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and execute best practice strategies to manage aged receivables and optimize collection outreach activities to achieve targeted goals.
• The leader must cultivate a great team that work diligently with all departments to ensure proper payments.
• Proven experience with developing a culture of service excellence.
• Negotiate credit limits, payments terms and discounts with customers to optimize cash flow.
• Generate regular reports on accounts receivable performance, aging, and other relevant metrics. 
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations related to accounts receivable processes.
• Develop, approve and monitor and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure they meet objectives.
• Supervise and lead the accounts receivables team.
• Negotiate and maintain third party vendors and contracts. 
• Oversee the accurate, timely and compliant monthly billing.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field.
• 8 years in progressive leadership roles
• Minimum of 10 years in Credit, Billing, accounts receivables and/or Collection capacity
• Ability to bring change, build processes and develop training.
• Excellent Communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Results oriented leader who can drive improvements at a strategic level-essential in developing and creating process improvements from beginning to end and measuring success.
