JOB PURPOSE:
The individual will manage the daily operations of Navajo Technical University's network systems and services. The position will oversee daily campus IT network operations, including - hardware and software cyberinfrastructure design, development, testing, installation, application, and systems maintenance. The individual will have to exhibit intermediate to expert understanding of network design and theory (wired and wireless) network, implementation, project management, and operational management. The position should have a foundational understanding of system deployment options, including cloud services, local or hosted server operations and planning, deployment and support of operational database systems, voice over IP (VoIP) systems, e-learning, and enterprise planning resource systems (ERP). This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting NTU's services/network performance and monitoring systems.
The position is responsible for managing network operations and issuing daily assignments of help desk tasks and project implementation management with oversight from the Director of Information Technology.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the development of departmental plans, goals, and objectives and ensures compliance with contractual obligations and
- Coordinate the design, testing, installation, commissioning, and daily operation of NTU's wired and wireless network
- Identify requirements for IT services across facilities by collaborating with management and students in the strategic planning process; prioritizes IT initiatives and coordinates the application of technology across facilities; maintains and appropriate organizational structure to support the organization's
- Provide a secure, stable, and reliable environment for the data and communication systems; ensures equipment, system operation, and IT processes adhere to applicable laws and
- Coordinate the daily installation, management, and working with the University's Jenzabar system, taking responsibility for the college's server infrastructure, software maintenance, user training, maintaining a high level of security, and developing reports using the software system's report
- Plan and implement an IT Technical Training Program for staff and students. May develop training material and curriculum for academic
- Respond to customer needs and questions regarding NTU IT
- Provides timely and accurate analysis of related statistics, analytical reports, and related operating expenses that will ensure responsibility functions in an effective, efficient, and profitable
- Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures to support networks, hardware, and software according to accepted industry
- Keeps abreast of new technologies and principles by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of data networking and system administration Three (3) years of experience overseeing critical network infrastructures.
- Three (3) years in supervisory or management capacity with successful project management
- Master's Degree
