MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
0 - 6 months experience in gas, water, wastewater, or electric systems.
0 - 6 months Utility and Customer Service experience preferred.
Experience in operations and maintenance.
Knowledge of operation and maintenance of hand and power tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Assists in the construction, operation and maintenance of gas, water, wastewater, or electric systems under close supervision of a qualified Journeyman or those of highs classification.
Assists with maintenance and construction on projects and under close supervision of a qualified Journeyman or those of a higher classification.
Assists in loading and unloading utility trucks, trailers, and warehouse trucks.
Controls and directs traffic when personnel are working in designated area.
Drives company vehicles and equipment to various work sites.
Uses a variety of common hand tools or small power equipment in a safe manner.
Keeps all supplies and equipment in a safe and well-controller area.
Maintains building and worksite free of debris.
Provides assistance to semi-skilled and skilled journeyman in their areas of discipline.
Observes safety rules, and ensures and maintains a safe environment.
Maintains records of schedule and completed maintenance, work orders and other reports as requested; completes forms according to established policies and procedures.
Assists with annual audit and inventory.
Assist power saw operators clearing trees through Right of Way for projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
