Job Description:


Full-Time Instructor - Reactor Engineering School (RES)
Teach graduate-level courses in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, or materials science suitable to the candidate’s expertise. The position requires daily interaction with the Naval Reactors students and other full-time and part-time students, inside and outside the classroom. The candidate will be expected to support both local (in-person) and remote learning instruction. Develop and implement new curriculum materials, and improved methods of delivering instruction for both local and remote learning. Evaluate and evolve the RES curriculum to meet the educational needs of Naval Reactors, NRLFO, and NNL. Interact with subject matter experts at the Program Primes to keep the curriculum current. Manage programs and perform logistical functions as required to support the operation of the school.




Job Requirements:


Senior:

  • MS or Ph.D. degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years of relevant experience.

Principal:

  • MS or Ph.D. degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. Ph.D. candidate must have at least three years of program experience.
