NOTE: This announcement is to gauge interest for a future position. NSI expects this position to be filled in the Feb-Mar 2024 timeframe. This requirement supports a PMA-290F Foreign Military Sales (FMS) effort for the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) P-8A Poseidon Program in Pohang, South Korea. This effort is to support Maintenance Management efforts in a squadron level activity (P-8As)) and support the sustainment of operations using the Aviation Integrated Maintenance System (AIMS) Tool. AIMS is a commercial version maintenance management software much like OOMA. This position will support operations at one squadron in Pohang and have the opportunity for in-country travel likely to the ROKN Data Center in the
ROK.
Description: NSI requires a Senior Logistics Manager to support PMA-290F Foreign Military Sales (FMS) effort for the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) P-8A Poseidon Program in Pohang, South Korea. The Senior Logistics Manager will provide data entry, training, interface with maintenance and assistance with maintenance planning and execution employing the AIMS Tool. Provide liaison with FMS customer representing USN, potentially supervise other NSI employee(s). Provide analysis in supporting maintenance of aircraft, weapon systems, training, support equipment, and assist in support of AIMS software configuration. Assist in logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses. Provide recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data packaging, handling, storage and transportation, and facilities.
Location: Pohang, South Korea
Education: AS or AA degree preferred.
Experience: Former USN senior "AZ" or former senior P-8A Maintenance Control experience is required (no substitute). Must be a superior communicator due to interfacing with a foreign military as well as the NAVAIR PMA-290F Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML) managing the ROKN FMS case.
Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Passport required. International driver’s license will be required.
Additional Information: The selected candidate will be provided an apartment, vehicle, fuel, and cell phone in country. This is a one-year commitment with one travel paid trip back to CONUS during that timeframe. Pohang is located south of Seoul, approximately a 2-hour bullet train ride from Seoul. Prefer the candidate be located in the Jacksonville, Florida area, but not required. There will be 3-4 weeks of training in Jacksonville, FL prior to deploying.
