Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Civil Engineer in West Mifflin, PA.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a Civil engineer to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for locating, marking, and documenting underground utility lines. The majority of the work being performed will be in the field and require strong research skills in order to find various utilities efficiently. Direct experience with utilities, located above ground and underground, is preferable, but not mandatory for this position. The chosen candidate will work in parallel with a utility locating company that will be performing the positive identification portion of the work.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Proven work experience in Civil Engineering
- Proficient in the comprehension of facility mechanical systems
- Working production software skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD
- Ability to maintain and update current as-built drawing database
- Strong research skills
- Strong communication skills
- Work collaboratively with project teams
- Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing civil systems and products
- Utility or surveying experience
- Experience working on Federal Products
- Ability to communicate project status to various internal and external parties
- Understanding government regulations and ordinances
- Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Active L Clearance
