Job Title : Tester
Location : Columbus, OH - 100% Remote (State of Ohio)
Job Description :
The Tester plays a vital role within a team responsible for planning, constructing, and executing various types of tests including product tests, system tests, unit tests, load tests, volume tests, and network tests.
Additionally, this role collaborates with others to facilitate release control processes. A more experienced Tester takes on additional responsibilities, including managing, planning, constructing, and executing tests while integrating with the release control process.
Education :
Preferred Education : 4-year college degree
Requirement Description :
- Create test models for product test and release control (plans, data, and scripts).
- Execute assembly or product tests within specified time estimates.
- Communicate accurate status updates on assigned tasks.
- Follow quality standards and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Define product test plans and acceptance criteria.
- Resolve testing process questions / issues as they arise.
- Assist in planning, creating, and controlling test environments.
- Support Team Lead in monitoring estimated-time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals for assigned tasks.
- Update and test release installation procedures.
- Stay informed about new developments in the industry and processes and apply them appropriately.
- Determine time estimates and schedules for work efforts.
- Define and utilize entry / exit criteria for testing.
- Resolve issues in a timely manner.
Skills :
- Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, managing time and resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Experience utilizing agile toolsets including GIT and Azure.
- Strong organizational, analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- 3 years' experience with Agile projects.
- 3 years' experience in analyzing data elements of enterprise applications and determining their relationships.
- 3 years' experience using Microsoft products : SQL, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- 3 years' experience in analyzing business requirements, both functional and non-functional.
- 3 years' experience using versioning tools such as GIT or any other versioning tool.
