The Cloud Architect ensures efforts are in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture team to support customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision, a collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions, and services to simplify people's lives. The Cloud Architect will create and execute cloud computing strategies.  The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, development and managing cloud infrastructure and assets in support of corporate initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. 

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery, while also ensuring alignment with strategic direction and cost optimized solutions.

How do I make an impact on my team?  

• Architecting, building, and maintaining cost-efficient, scalable cloud environments for the organization
• Provides hands-on technical coaching to accelerate cloud learning across the Cloud foundations team and product teams
• Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process
• Designing, building, maintaining internal cloud applications for the organization utilizing stakeholder feedback
• Transferring data and internal processes to cloud architecture
• Documents complex procedures and complex troubleshooting procedures related to systems/networks software and hardware
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
• Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve
• Provides mentoring to the team for technical challenges
• Designs and Implements solutions based on Architectural best practices
• Implements re-architecting existing applications on Cloud to AWS
• Keeping cloud environments secure and preventing downtime or security breaches
• Design reference architecture and provide input to the DevOps team for implementation of codified stacks that meet the needs of the applications
• Lead the effort to automate and set up traditional infrastructure components as well as cloud native infrastructure and middleware in both on-premises and public cloud environments heavily utilizing Infrastructure as Code practices
• Oversee and lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and auditing

What our team expects from you? 

• A four-year college degree required in the field of computer science and/or a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in application, software, and infrastructure design and implementation
• Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
• Experience in software engineering and design architecture
• Healthcare industry practices and HIPAA knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
