Job Description
BACKGROUND:
NBCU TV& Streaming is looking for a Sr. Director to set the strategic research vision for the new Peacock Engagement & Retention Research function that is aligned with organizational objectives. This individual will use their prior experience working with Digital/App Product & Analytics teams to lead research initiatives that help drive engagement and retention goals for Peacock subscribers and bring the consumer perspective to organizational decision-making. In this role, you will be report to the Vice President of Brand & Growth Strategy Insights for NBCU TV & Streaming and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS:
An insights leader ready to have an impact and help drive strategic decision-making as it relates to driving deeper engagement and retention of Peacock Subscribers. You should have experience collaborating with senior stakeholders on digital/app Product & Analytics teams to understand their needs, leading quantitative and qualitative primary research initiatives and collaborating with senior leadership to drive business decisions.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Build relationship with senior leaders on the Peacock Product, Commerce, Growth & Lifecyle Marketing and Advanced Analytics teams, acting at a thought partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights that drive overall business success
- Develop a strategic research plan to drive internal objectives and lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives in support of this plan, collaborating with the Advanced Analytics teams to deliver research insights that are integrated with first party data
- Partner with Product, UX and the Brand Insights teams to infuse Brand KPIs into the Product team’s everyday thinking and measurement
- Collaborate with the CRM Strategy team to provide insights and strategic guidance to optimize the various Peacock consumer journeys including deep analysis of specific cohorts like non-viewers and cancellers
- Understand how to drive KPIs among these important user cohorts by collaborating with Platform Analytics & CRM to tie 1st party analytics & survey insights
- Partner with UX Research leads to deliver integrated insights and recommendations
- Be an innovative thinker and a clear, effective communicator
- And most importantly, live the values of collaboration and teamwork, operating as one team across NBCU TV & Streaming

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven leadership experience collaborating with Digital/App Product and Commerce teams to execute research initiatives in support of user engagement and retention goals
- Digital/app experience required, streaming service experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and experience building consultative relationships with senior stakeholders to help them focus in on the goals that can be most effectively supported through research
- Experience partnering with internal UX Research and Data Analytics teams to connect survey, UX insights and first-party user data and deliver integrated insights & recommendations
- Statistics proficiency and experience required; ability to conduct advanced statistical analysis like factor and conjoint analysis is an advantage but not required
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Marketsight, displayr, SPSS, etc.) and programing languages (SQL and R); SQL proficiency required in order to connect survey and 1st party data
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field (Quantitative Methods, Market Research, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, etc.)
- 6-8 years’ experience in market research supporting digital/app product & commerce teams

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
