O&T supports Enterprise Technology, Broadcast and Production systems across the NBCU portfolio globally. This role will be responsible for maintaining and supporting 24x7x365 high availability storage environments for NBCUniversal. You will provide support for all operational-based changes for all supported applications. You will also be q point of escalation for any major impacting incidents where storage support is needed and would manage until resolution. Essential Functions:Support all storage technologies and process lifecycles in the NBCU enterprise, specifically file, block, tape, and object storage systems - both on-prem and cloudProvide level 2 support to MSP teams who are tasked with maintaining some of these systems including 24x7 on-call supportParticipate in investigations of application performance issues within Media Operations and Enterprise Systems and their integration points to identify systematic issues and root causes Follow up with storage vendors to resolve system issues and drive future development Upgrade and patch systems as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolutionDevelop scripts for the automation of routine tasksDevelop partnerships across engineering teams, including compute, network, database, automation, cyber, and application support for cross-facility support and engagementProvide updates to management and clients on support and project tasksProvide training and documentation of systems and support procedures to be utilized by the larger engineering and operations teams at the facility QualificationsBasic Requirements:B.S. degree in an Information Technology/Engineering related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience required.4 years of experience supporting and troubleshooting mid-to-large, high availability Storage and Data Protection environments specifically for NetApp, EMC, Cloudian, S3, and LTO Tape Library storage systems.4 years of experience in planning, documenting, validating, and testing technical solutions in a global enterprise setting.4 years managing vendor relationships and working with professional engagements.Experience in storage performance, data replication, SAN based backup, load balancing, storage virtualization methods and SAN zoning/provisioning.Experience in Storage technologies such as Fiber Channel, iSCSI, CiFS, NFS, Flash, RAID, LTO, etc.Experience in Window/Linux Server build, configuration, and administrationWorking knowledge of network infrastructure, services, and toolsetsAbility to manage environments in multiple locations across the United States and internationally.Desired Characteristics:Team player with flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.An effective and clear communicator (verbally and in writing), able to interact with heavily technical resources as well as with business users.Able to report out to management in an appropriate and easily assimilated manner.Experience with network environments including high and low bandwidth infrastructures.Familiar with DevOps/Automation Toolsets - Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Git, etc.Familiar with monitoring/logging technologies – Nagios/OP5, Datadog, etc.Experience with cloud technologies and toolsets (AWS/Azure/GCP)Media Industry experience is preferred.Additional Requirements:Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from either the Englewood Cliffs, NJ office or 30 Rock, NY office a minimum of three days per week.This position is required to work a Tuesday – Saturday schedule.Must be willing to travel & work evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays with little or/no noticeAvailable 24/7/365Additional InformationNBCUniversal's policy is to provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, gender identity or expression, age, national origin or ancestry, citizenship, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, membership in the uniformed services, genetic information, or any other basis protected by applicable law.
