Job Description
The Supervisor is an integral member of the Technical Operations Film & TV Studios Library Governance team, located in Universal City, California. The Library Governance team is responsible for the curation, research, and safeguarding of NBCUniversal Feature & Television digital assets across a growing number of media libraries. The Supervisor will support the Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and a growing team of Library Coordinators and Specialists and will partner with peers across operational divisions to optimize existing workflows and best practices. This position requires strong skills with people management, organization, and best in class customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coach, develop and lead a team of 7 employees, supporting overall organizational success; including onboarding, training and SOP creation
Support the Manager as the “go to person”, managing day-to-day escalations for missed SLAs, identifying root cause and mitigation for rejections, and overseeing operational initiatives
Partner with TechOps management team to implement new workflows that drive simplification, flexibility and scalability across all teams
Subject matter expert for all archival, research and library processes and related technology
Help support manager with client engagement on behalf of NBCU – this may include hosting business-as-usual weekly meetings, reviewing issues or working with internal teams to meet client needs/manage expectations
Assess current and projected inbound order volume, task organize team appropriately based on volume increases or decreases
Manage employee onboarding and training, updating the employee training matrix and ongoing monitoring of KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
Support on-and-off-hour operations during outages or system maintenance windows
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent professional experience
Effective interpersonal skills as a strong communicator, leader, and people influencer.
Proven ability to effectively collaborate and communicate (verbal and written/virtual and in-person) with customers, partners, and stakeholders across multiple departments and functions.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, understanding overall scope of requests while identifying and highlighting details.
Experience dealing with digital and/or physical media with a thorough knowledge or passion for content curation and specs.
Experience with enterprise-level Media Asset Management systems.
Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively manage a high-volume work environment and competing priorities.
Ability to work independently as a self-starter, utilizing available resources and always looking for opportunities and solutions.
Respectful team player, who follows rules and policy while maintaining a positive attitude.
Passion for media distribution and supply chain optimization, keeping up to date with emerging platforms and the latest technology trends.
Proficient with Smartsheet, Office 365 Suite/ Apps (Teams, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, etc.), Salesforce, JIRA, and/or other project management and process mapping tools.
