Job Description
Responsibilities:
The VP, Finance & FP&A fills a key leadership role in the division as the lead FP&A person for the NBC Local Group. The NBC Local Group consists of twelve NBC Owned Stations, 31 Telemundo Owned Stations, 6 Regional Sports Networks (“RSN”), New England Cable News and 3 Digital Multicast Networks. The role provides a unique opportunity to become immersed in the operations of multiplatform Local Television businesses. The VP is responsible for division wide planning and estimate cycles and requires frequent interaction with Local and business leadership teams as well as the division President and her direct reports. The VP also oversees the preparation of financial analysis and presentations to a wide spectrum of audiences including the NBCU CEO, NBCU Local Chairman and the NBCU CFO. The position has multiple direct reports and requires solid leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Overall oversight and management of financial performance and reporting including P&L, Free Cash Flow and Capital
- Oversee all planning and forecasting cycles (Budget, quarterly forecasts and Long Range Plan)
- Publish full P&L financial analysis that demonstrates a solid operational understanding of all Local businesses
- Demonstrate an understanding of business revenue drivers and report on revenue metrics
- Analysis and presentation preparation for all Monthly Op Reviews, Quarterly RSN Board of Director meetings, Budgets, LRPs and other ad hoc meetings
- Drive business development / acquisition analysis for Local Division working closely with NBCU & Comcast Corporate Strategy / Business Development teams
- Partnering with EVP of Technical Operations and his leadership team to drive overall tech strategy and financial planning.
- Capital Management for NBC, Telemundo and RSN Capital budget, $60-$90M annually
- Oversight of Division Spectrum repack project – facilitating remaining FCC reimbursement
- Assign / Execute on other ad hoc requests as assigned by the CFO and Chairman
- Work closely with field finance teams improving standards, efficiency and accuracy of financial processes
- Successfully manage, develop and motivate a team of 9 team members

Qualifications
Eligibility Requirements:

- 10-15 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
Desired Characteristics:
- Prior experience in financial planning & analysis required with experience at a major media company preferred
- Ability to synthesize and encapsulate difficult and complex issues succinctly is a must
- Strong communication and presentation skills (including experience with Powerpoint) / Solid financial modelling skills
- Team player, with demonstrated formal and informal leadership skills
- SAP experience – including BPC Reporting
