We are currently seeking an Inventory Supervisor, based in Selma, AL, reporting to the Director of Manufacturing. This role will manage all aspects of inventory levels, including recording daily deliveries, evaluating and planning for new shipments, and creating action plans to address any issues. This role requires a high level of analytical and problem-solving abilities, plus outstanding communication skills and a high bias towards action.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily cycle count process. Generate plans to meet minimum location count requirements based on outside auditors and achieve internal facility KPIs.
- Ensure New Product review process is completed within 24 hours or less.
- Maintain Daily SAAG Board & all visual tools.
- Work closely with the Sales and Sales Support on customer service-related issues.
- Closely monitor employee productivity and accuracy rates to ensure standards are met.
- Implement action plans when goals are not met.
- Monitor weekly/monthly SKU velocity to determine the proper direct pick slot size assignment and modify as needed. Assign new item slots based on product size/SKU forecast.
- Ensure Department/Work area is compliant with 6S.
- Ensure all SOP’s are current & all employees are trained according to the SOP’s.
- Ensure all Scanners are tracked in & out daily.
- Lead, Support and/or participate in all Lean Kaizen activities.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent related work experience
- 2-4 years relevant experience
- Prior warehouse supervision experience; preferably in the area of inventory and quality control; WMS experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of lean, six sigma & the ability to use metrics to manage an area, department and shift.
- Knowledge of 6S, Visual Management.
- Knowledge of Sage and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
