Job Posting for Agricultural Banking Specialist at NBT Bancorp Inc.
Provide administrative support to the SVP/Manager of Agricultural Banking as well as the Agricultural Relationship Managers assigned to the Department. This includes interaction with external and internal customers, including borrowers, attorneys, accountants, insurance agents, etc to facilitate loan originations, closings, and servicing. Works with Credit Support, LDCC, Loan Operations, Business Banking, Appraisal, Compliance, and others as required to insure loans are properly documented, comply with regulations, closed as approved, loaded accurately, and document exceptions cleared. Works with Ag RMs and branch staff to process LOC advances, note and line renewals, processing of direct payments, and various system maintenance. In frequent absence of lenders, is able to manage daily department functions. Works with customers to meet information requests and resolve servicing issues. Works with the BAGLS team to coordinate and monitor activities associated with Government loan guarantees and secondary market (Farmer Mac). Also provides back-up/support for the Southern Tier Commercial Banking Specialist. Education and Experience: 3years experience in Ag/Commercial lending/banking environment 2 year degree in business or related experience Skills and Abilities: Basic Accounting Word, Excel computer software Loan Accounting software Strong ability to multi-task Strong communication skills both external and internal Strong organizational skills Full understanding of lending, legal transactions, Agricultural & general finance
