What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Branch Manager position at NBT Bancorp Inc.?
As part of the management team in a Level III branch, the assistant branch manager supervises direct reports and the daily activities of the branch to ensure quality customer service standards and performance metrics are being met. Maintains an appropriate focus on performance/results to include relationship building, lending, safety along with operational and audit soundness. Monitors, identifies and controls compliance risks and operation exposure. Assists with interviewing candidates for branch positions, selection of the training needs, coaching and supports the on-going career development of staff. Exhibits leadership and participation in promoting the bank's positive image in the communities in which they are located. Assist with the management of the branch budget. Education and Experience: 4 year college degree or equivalent retail, retail banking, or financial services experience 3 years retail banking experience required Business development & outside business sales experience preferred Skills and Abilities: Leadership skills. Excellent listening & communication skills are necessary. Organizational, interpersonal and customer relation skills. Ability to function in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Problem solving/decision making skills. PC Skills. Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements: NMLS Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
