What are the responsibilities and job description for the Black Male Initiative Program Director position at NC A&T State University?
The Black Male Initiative Program Director will provide academic and administrative leadership for male students by creating a mutually accountable community that facilitates male academic success. This individual will oversee freshman male mentorship, monitor their adjustment to college, oversee a system of supplemental instruction, create and oversee college and career skills programming, and serve as a liaison to companies and organizations financially supporting male student success. This person will successfully engage a substantial majority of freshman males to drive increased retention, persistence and four-year graduation rates.The Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Success in the Deese College of Business and Economics and works closely with the college?s academic advisors, faculty and administrators.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master?s degree in an area related to student personnel, education or college administration or bachelor?s degree with at least three years of higher education experience in the area of student success, advising and/or retention.
