We will be hiring Transportation Workers and Automotive Mechanics!
We are serious about hiring you! 12 people hired at our last event!
 
The Challenge
We are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Vance County Equipment team.
 
In this role, you will:
    • Service, repair, rebuild, and diagnose mechanical systems for gas/diesel-powered automotive, heavy equipment.
    • Perform mechanic work at all levels.
 
What You Bring
    • A complete set of mechanic tools.
    • Experience performing preventive maintenance on 1 of the following: light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, and/or heavy equipment.
    • Diagnostics experience of basic electrical systems, manual transmission components, and proper wiring repairs.
    • Basic hydraulic system repair experience, including component replacement and hoses.
    • Knowledge of diagnostic software, tools, and equipment for trucks/heavy equipment.
    • Ability to repair and maintain automotive and heavy equipment, and diagnose problems using diagnostic equipment.
    • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
    • Strength to lift heavy objects and move parts/materials to repair/maintain equipment.
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
    • Commitment to provide safe working environment by leading by example.
    • Ability to read and interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, schematics, diagrams, and sketches.
    • Class A Commercial Driver's License with N endorsements. (If you don't have this, still apply.  You can get it through our on-the-job training within 360 days of hire).
    • Safety toe shoes.
 
Notes
    • We will conduct a pre-employment drug screening  and background check for your past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol testing.
    • We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III, or Universal Technician.
 
Education & Experience
    • High School/GED diploma, and
    • 2 years of relevant experience, or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
