Landscaping Installer

JOB DUTIES AND ABILITIES:

Installs professional landscapes at residential and commercial properties.

Assists with hardscaping installation to include, but not limited to patios, retaining walls, water features, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, drainage systems, etc.

Learn and execute proper landscaping techniques and utilize equipment, power tools, small machinery, and hand tools to carry out full-service installations and proper handling of all materials.

Ability to read a measuring tape and perform basic math calculations to include area calculations.

Assists Irrigation and Outdoor Lighting Technician, as needed.

Play a major role in the installation process of landscaping softscapes including shrubs, trees, perennials, mulch, and topsoil.

Interact with the crew leader and follow project instructions to provide optimum services.

Depending on project location, must have the ability to be at work by 6:30 am.

Valid Driver’s license with good driving record and reliable transportation.

Willingness to work occasional (paid) overtime.

There is a distinguished willingness to learn proper techniques and the correct and safe operation of all vehicles, hand tools, power tools, and machinery.

Will routinely load/unload vehicles and safely transport equipment and materials to job site.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Manual dexterity to perform all required functions of this position.

While performing the duties of this job, the Landscape Installer is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, lift, crouch, reach, stoop, crawl, or kneel.

The position is regularly exposed to outdoor environmental conditions including extreme hot and cold conditions.

Additional working conditions may include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, and dirty/wet worksites.

Must be able to properly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Must be able to climb ladders up to 12 ft.
