We have an opening for a Credit Area Manager, a member of our leadership team at Anchorage Corporate and reports to the Corporate Credit Manager. This position will lead a group of employees and will be responsible for the following:
Business Management:
- Coordinating the financing of equipment sales and works with Sales in structuring and selling equipment financing as a method of promoting equipment sales.
- Administering and monitoring customer financing, recording transactions, disputes and collections according to Company policy and practices. Overseeing customer communications.
- Training equipment sales staff on financing and programs available.
- Visiting area branches quarterly and promoting good working relationships with member company departments.
- Keeping current with credit law changes and recommending any changes needed to credit policies.
Customer Service Management:
- Conducting visits with customers monthly. Developing and maintaining good customer relationships. Responding to customer complaints quickly and professionally.
- Reviewing accounts receivable and other reports with direct reports and credit manager monthly.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to customer credit limits as needed.
People Management:
- Leading and managing area credit department team.
- Implementing and training direct reports on credit software.
Personal Attributes, Experience, and Education:
- Experienced in assessing creditworthiness of customers and customizing credit within company policy
- Minimum of fifteen years’ experience is preferred or the equivalent of undergraduate school and 10 years’ experience with Caterpillar, Cummins or MTU preferred. College degree in business administration or related discipline preferred.
- Able to represent the company with a high degree of professionalism while practicing the Company Values.
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with internal and external teams under stressful circumstances.
- Knowledge of general accounting practices.
