The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) is a nonprofit providing essential services to the load-handling industry and has an opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team! Since 1995, NCCCO has developed effective performance testing standards for those working in and around load handling equipment, including cranes. NCCCO is the national leader in providing crane operator certification and has been deemed as an essential service. We are committed to quality, integrity, and fairness in testing and have issued certifications in all 50 states. NCCCO has offices in Murray, Utah, Fairfax, Virginia and Palm Harbor, Florida.
NCCCO has an immediate opening for a Remote Staff Auditor position in our Murray, Utah office.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a remote position involving teleworking and a significant amount of travel throughout the country, as well as occasional visits to the CCO office located in Murray, Utah. CCO is committed to providing safe, clean, and appropriately low-density work environments. CCO offices comply with all CDC requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities include:
A. Conduct Practical Exam Audits
- Conduct Practical Exam Proctor (Practical Examiner) audits in the field
- Conduct practical exam test site audits
- Complete audit-related paperwork and forms
- Coordinate and conduct audit events in connection with PEAP workshops
- Communicate effectively with practical exam test personnel, site hosts, and other stakeholders
- Willingness to pursue and obtain additional certifications and accreditations
- Travel extensively throughout the United States
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
B. Conduct Written Exam Audits
- Provide support as needed to the written exam audit program.
C. Conduct Practical Exam Proctor Program Workshops
- Conduct PEAP workshops as back-up to chief instructor.
D. Other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hold CCO certification in the Mobile Crane (LAT, TLL, TSS) program
- Additional CCO certifications preferred
- Hold CCO credential as a CCO Practical Exam Proctor (Practical Examiner) in the Mobile Crane program
- 5 or more years of related experience in the construction industry.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Competent computer-based skills and ability to learn new programs
- Exemplary ethics and integrity
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task with an acute attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communications skills

- Strong sense of professionalism
- A passion for and knowledge of the crane and load-handling industries is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Candidate must be in compliance with ASME B30 physical requirements, as required for CCO certification.
Expected Work Hours:
- This is a “road warrior” position that requires significant time traveling in the field, including some work on weekends, offset with time off during the week using flex time.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with reasonable proximity to an airport and relatively convenient access to travel throughout the country.
