What are the responsibilities and job description for the NCJC BASP Director position at NCJC?
To increase school success for children in the community through educational, recreational and supportive activities for youth in a school based Before and After School Program. Together with the 21st Century Schools program to increase student achievements by effectively coordinating the daily operations of the program collaborating closely with the building administrator and school-day staff.
The position promotes a positive healthy environment for youth which encourages skill development and social growth through individual and group contacts. The coordinator also maintains standards as set by the Department of Human Services, CACFP and the department of Public Health which include a child safe environment during all activities.
Full time position 10-6 with occasional early morning or evening meeting commitments.
Minimum of a BA in Education or Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience and education. Experience working with school aged youth in an educational and recreational environment, knowledge of DHS licensing standards and management experience preferred. Valid drivers license required. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups and partner organizations.
Conditions of employment:
1. Maintain all required training, such as Chile Abuse Reporters, CPR and First Aid, Universal Precautions and Essentials
2. Receive clearance from Iowa Department of Human Services on Child Abuse and Criminal Records check and FBI fingerprint check
3. Maintain a valid drivers license
4. Maintain current physical

Pay: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
