Job Posting for Assistant Teaching Professor in Special Education at ncsu-sb
The Assistant Teaching Professor in Special Education is an integral part of the Graduate Program in Special Education in the department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences in the College of Education. This is a professional track position with an expected teaching load of four courses per semester. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses (MAT and MEd) in Special Education, advising, field supervision, and ongoing course development, with some service and administrative duties. We are seeking a strong teacher educator with experience in K-12 school settings who will contribute to the preparation of Special Education teacher candidates as well as deepen existing teachers’ content and pedagogical knowledge. The successful candidate will bring a transformative line of participation that contributes to the College’s overarching goal of redefining teacher preparation and closing opportunity gaps in public schools in North Carolina and the nation.
