The Student Services Coordinator will coordinate all program activities and functions for the Sustainable Materials and Technology (SMT) undergraduate (80%) and Wood Products (WP) Extension (20%) programs. This position will collaborate with faculty, students, staff and administrators in the department and college in support of the success of these programs. These activities include:Manage marketing and promotional activities for the programsCoordinate student recruitmentDevelop and implement student retention activitiesProvide support during orientation for new studentsHelp with the scheduling of courses and classroomsCoordinate the matriculation process for students and provide necessary assistance to ensure a smooth transition into the universitySupport SMT undergraduate student enhancement initiatives including professional development workshops and off-campus site visitsProvide support in assessing the educational outcomes of the SMT programAssist in the process of securing and maintaining accreditation for the SMT undergraduate programCoordinate the annual undergraduate banquetAssist committee with scholarship selection and awardingOrganize graduation activities and eventsAssist faculty with academic advisingOrganize and preside regular meetings of key personnel involved with undergraduate recruiting, placement and retentionProvide marketing and administrative support for SMT and WP extension workshops and short coursesProvide business support for the SMT undergraduate program and the WP Extension program.
