What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Information Technology Support position at NDM Hospitality?

OVERVIEW: This position is a hands-on management role. As an IT manager, you will work closely with the IT team, business, and departmental leaders to ensure that our company is using the most up-to-date technology to run our business. This position is responsible for ensuring that the hardware and software used by our company is compatible, secure, and scalable. You will also be responsible for managing our internal network, Cyber Security initiatives, and providing support for our staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the but are not limited to the following.

  • Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks
  • Assist the IT department head with leading and training IT staff
  • Develop and implement policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure
  • Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance
  • Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT roadmap
  • Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company
  • Direct the activities of the help desk to ensure the IT needs of users are met
  • Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
  • Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components
  • Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources
  • May provide other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
  • Experience with network administration specifically Cisco Meraki, Azure infrastructure, HP, and Fortinet (Cisco certification a plus)
  • Experience managing on-premises and cloud servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
  • Experience with Cyber Security platforms and management
  • Experience with Vendor Management for ongoing support and projects
  • Familiarity with our software platforms including Microsoft 365 (e.g., Power BI), Salesforce, and Azure Cloud
  • Understanding of PCI Data Security Standard compliance requirements
  • Ability to lead and manage a team

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Seven years of relevant technical and Leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role in an IT setting
  • Previous working experience as an IT Network or System Engineer for 3 year(s)
  • Hospitality Technology management experience preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract and multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk; reach and use hands and arms to manipulate office and strength/cardio equipment; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to sit for the purposes of handling paperwork, interviews, etc. The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch while demonstrating and/or testing exercise equipment.

The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus for performing chemical tests and monitoring of pool.
