Near North Health, a longstanding pillar of Chicago's healthcare landscape, is seeking a visionary and compassionate Driver to join our dedicated team. Since our inception in 1966, we have remained committed to our mission of providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality primary healthcare services to all, regardless of their financial circumstances. 

As Driver, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to serve primarily low-income uninsured or underinsured residents of Chicago's medically underserved communities with your excellent time management, customer service skills and a commitment to the mission and vision of Near North Health.

Key Responsibilities: 

Transportation:  Transport staff, clients and/or packages to and from destinations, arriving at pickup locations/destinations on schedule.

Maintenance:  Perform daily vehicle and MHU inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.

Patient Satisfaction:  Interact with patients/clients professionally, at all times.

Qualifications

Skills and abilities:

• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of Chicago and surrounding areas.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Good physical condition with the ability to assist patients with mobility issues.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle and MHU maintenance.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:   High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Licensure and/or Certification:  Valid CDL License with minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a healthcare or service-oriented environment.
