Essential Job Functions:
  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by walking them to the department and changing them into appropriate attire for the exam.
  • Walk patients back to the exam room and open x-rays on the computer for the provider.
  • Upload CDs and burn CDs containing patient's x-rays.
  • Maintains x-ray rooms; stocks necessary supplies and cleans surfaces.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines.
  • Facilitates some clerical duties and record administration regarding x-ray imaging and reports.

Education: High school diploma.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Skill in working with computers and IT issues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; standing and walking for extensive periods; occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 100 pounds; corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Interaction with others is constant and interrupted.
