LincolnOversees financial transactions, produces financial reports and monitors budget.
Establishes and maintains the services of accounting or purchasing systems, and other proper systems as required. May prepare IBTs, monthly/quarterly reports, journal voucher entries, reviews/analyzes general ledger, financial analysis, initiates corrective actions; collection of past due accounts; and reviews and checks accuracy of records and compliance of transactions with established policies/procedures. Ensures accuracy of records and compliance of transactions with established policies/procedures.
Examines data on vouchers, invoices, bank statements, and other documents to ensure the information is accurate and complete.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or other related field and one year business-related experience; related work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.Knowledge of general accounting systems; business operations principles such as purchasing and inventory, agency policies and procedures; state accounting policies; and computerized business systems.
Ability to: conduct research activities; plan, organize, and control the work of others; apply management practices, theories, techniques, and methodologies to assigned responsibilities; learn agency programs, functions, policies, procedures, processes, communications channels, and objectives related to assigned responsibilities.
Ability to communicate effectively; establish positive working relationships with all contacts; maintain accurate records; identify and resolve administrative and transactional problems; maintain confidentiality of management and personnel information when appropriate; read, understand, interpret and apply rules/regulations, policies/procedures and other work directives; prepare various budget/financial/administrative reports using computer software applications (such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Enterprise 1, etc.).
