Location: Work Ethic Camp, McCook, NE 69001
Our team is looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills. Duties include providing administrative support to the Business, Maintenance, Food Service and Program department teams at the Work Ethic Camp. Develop and maintain databases using Microsoft software; prepare correspondence; maintain filing system; analyze reports; process outgoing mail; maintain PCard purchases and receiving logs; and prepare and manage American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation files.
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods, including the operation of personal computers and office equipment, OR experience in performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including the use of personal computers and office equipment.
PREFERRED: At least two years’ experience/training in office/clerical support; ability to operate standard office equipment. Computer experience/education in Windows environment with mastery of MS Word, Excel, and Publisher. Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling; must have effective communication skills and be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to prioritize workload and complete assignments with limited supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced office; able to work around inmates. An Excel test will be administered at time of interviews.
OTHER: Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: physical exam/screening, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Department of Correctional Services Training Program.
