Truck Stop - Retail Operations Manager

Job Description

The Retail-Operations Manager at Nebraskaland Truck and Travel Center is a unique, challenging and highly rewarding position. You will oversee and be responsible for the operation of a high-volume, full-service, 24-hour truck stop/travel center, just off of Interstate 80 in Lexington, Nebraska. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that requires a diversity of skills. As the Retail-Operations Manager you will manage all aspects of your location and will be empowered to work like an owner-operator. In this position you will not only be involved in the store, but also in fuel sales, food service and truck and tire care operations. Qualifications and Requirements

- Must exemplify and have a proven track record of integrity and accountability at the managerial level

- Preferred 2-3 years of management experience in the convenience, retail, grocery, restaurant or other service industry with responsibility for ordering, pricing and financial results

- Preferred 2-3 years of hiring, training and supervising a team of employees

- Previous management proficiency in high volume retail with P&L accountability and experience effecting and managing budgets

- Intermediate level computer and technology skills including Gilbarco Passport, Excel and Word

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays

- A valid driver’s license

- Ability to foster and maintain a cleanliness and customer focused culture with a drive and willingness to go above and beyond for customer satisfaction and store success
