Project Administrator
NEC is an independent provider of electrical services serving the telecommunications, cellular, electrical vehicle charging and utility markets. Services include installation, retrofit, maintenance, repair and decommissioning of critical electrical infrastructure. NEC is headquartered in Kingston, MA, with three additional facilities in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire.
JOB SUMMARY: The Project Administrator is responsible for performing administrative tasks to support not only project and construction managers, but all levels of office personnel whenever necessary. Maintaining strong communication skills with all members of staff is expected to understand goals and facilitate success within the position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; experience using Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Word, and Microsoft Outlook; experience using Adobe Acrobat Reader and Writer or another comparable, .pdf software program; be able to communicate effectively using both verbal and written platforms with co-workers.

Indoor environment Most often works with a video display terminal for prolonged periods. The open office work environment lends to background noise of telephones and conversations, resulting in conditions which might be stressful.
Stationary position - Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 90% of the workday. Position primarily requires operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery such as copier and scanner. Regular verbal communication with coworkers, access office equipment and taking breaks, offers the opportunity to move about inside the office.
