The Role
In this position the individual will spend their time managing a portfolio of simple projects; tracking the status and coordinating the maintenance of all projects; processing incoming purchase orders, and managing the contractual paperwork for all projects.
The individual will be involved with the management and maintenance of the projects portfolio. This includes classifying incoming orders, coordinating the activities involved with project maintenance, maintaining and managing scope, schedule, & budget with the client, and data entry into the business systems to reflect the current state of the projects.
What Youll Do
- Processing customer purchase orders
- Processing orders to vendors
- Expediting orders as needed
- Entering data in the appropriate business systems
- Reporting order status
- Expediting results in minimum time delivery
- Receiving of, accounting for, ensuring secure storage of, and successful shipment to point of use for all material shipped to NEC
- Maintaining and administering order records
- Coordinating project review meetings
- Maintaining assigned projects in the appropriate business systems
- Processing contracts
- Communicating to stakeholders, customers, and project resources regarding project status
- Cross training to be an effective back up for others on an as needed basis.
- Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of responsibility. Has the authority to stop those work processes at any time it is believed that quality is being compromised
- Work closely with others in a small team of six to seven
- Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Travel: 20% travel within the Greater Boston area

- Appropriate level mastery of Microsoft Products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Effective mastery of Emerson tools and databases (EET, Symphony, SMS, PATT, ISR, RTQ, Process World, etc
- Effective mastery of NECI business systems (SalesForce, IFS)
- Knowledgeable of Emerson and NECI systems products, accounts, markets and competitive presence
