Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology physician employment in Maryland : Advanced Practice Provider ' Heart Failure Services
Position Summary:
Performs comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluation to diagnosis and treat patients. Functions as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner under the direction of the Heart Failure Services Medical Director.
Clinical Practice:
Provides direct and indirect patient care optimizing patient safety. Works proactively and in collaboration with other team members.
Will build their own patient panel. Will see patients on their own that are admitted through the hospital. Will communicate with the Cardiologist and the Medical Director.
Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide education and counseling to patients and family members as well as staff.
Will manage IV lasixs and diuretics.
Day Shift - 8 - 4:30 PM No weekends and no call
Must have Cardiology experience
Must have 3-5 years NP experience
Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline.
Education Discipline: MSN - graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program.
Two years as RN; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN's from CCNE accredited schools.
Acute Care, Adult or Family NP Certification
Maryland Registered Nurse License
Current Maryland Nurse Practitioner Certification
American Heart Association CPR Certification, CPR Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescue
