What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Nefab Packaging?
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor(s) is responsible for the day to day scheduling of production through the plant and operation of the production shift, ensuring the effective and efficient deployment of resources including material and manpower, in order to meet customer requirements in the most economical and safe manner suitable to the operation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Personnel
- Daily supervision of hourly workers (will rotate with same crew), including opening and closing plant
- Motivates employees to work at their personal best at all times
- Performance management of employees, efficient and cooperative work group.
Operations
- Manage daily production work orders to completion within scheduled time frame, assigning tasks to workers as required
- Monitor manufacturing times to maximize efficiency, making recommendations for improvement where applicable
- Maintain production quality in accordance with Nefab or customer standards and ISO 9001 and 14001
- Ensure that the workplace is operating in accordance with OSHA and local standards
- Maintain good housekeeping practices for the plant
EDUCATION
- High School diploma
EXPERIENCE
- 2 – 3 years’ experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/documents
- Experience working with steel, wood, corrugate, foam and/or other traded material considered an asset
- Experience employing and enforcing the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
