About the Position

As the Manager Business Intelligence & Full Stack Development in the Information Technology group, you will lead a team of Business Intelligence Analysts and Full Stack Developers, ensuring the seamless collaboration and efficient delivery of technology-focused solutions. The Manager Business Intelligence & Full Stack Development will leverage their expertise in code development, people leadership, and business intelligence reporting to assist NEI in achieving its goals.

Salary Range: $155,000 - $180,000 / year

The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.

This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversees the overall strategy and direction for building and delivering business intelligence and full stack development solutions to support the needs of the business and various users.
  • Spearheads the architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions, ensuring they are aligned with best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborates closely with relevant stakeholders (product owners, business analysts, data scientists, and end users) to understand their requirements, expectations, and feedback.
  • Works with IT leadership to develop and establish best practices, standards, and guidelines for development processes.
  • Champions and promotes a positive and productive work environment, where the development team can learn from each other, collaborate & share ideas, and solve problems together.
  • Supports the professional development and career growth of team members through ongoing training, coaching, and feedback.
  • Conducts performance reviews and evaluations for team members.
  • Oversees the creation and maintenance of Power BI solutions (dashboards, reports, data models) and provides actionable insights to support data-driven decision making; ensuring Power BI solutions are user-friendly, reliable, and scalable.
  • Utilizes tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python for data analysis and reporting.
  • Monitors trends across the industry and drives innovation and adoption at NEI.
  • Leads the development of NEI’s Semantic Layer, laying the groundwork for a scalable solution and the processes needed to upkeep it as NEI’s data model expands.
  • Follows and promotes Agile principles and practices.
  • Provides overall management and supervision of DevOps team.
  • Evaluates workloads and Department structure to determine how to best address current and future staffing needs.
  • Create a culture of innovation, driving change in the core business, and delivery of new solutions and innovation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must Have

  • Education: Bachelors in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in DevOps and BI
  • Expertise in Power BI, SQL, Python or C#.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization.
  • Agile experience and familiarity with SCRUM methodologies.
  • Possesses effective written and oral communications skills
  • Good interpersonal and people skills
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
