Job Summary

We are seeking an innovative, organized, creative and dependable Communications and Event Coordinator. You will work closely with the Promise Act Program Manager collaborating with the team to support the planning and creation of marketing efforts and execution of community events. Ideal candidates will be mission driven, meticulous, and have excellent communication skills. Previous communications and event coordination experience and community connections required. Ability to lead in ambiguity, strong cultural competency, possess a sense of urgency and connections to Twin Cities communities.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities

Coordinate the creation of branded collateral for all PROMISE Act programs, e.g., flyers, email content, and promotional materials.

· Create storytelling opportunities to be shared in print, web, and social.

· Help maintain PROMISE Act website and keep content relevant.

· Lead social media efforts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn

· Draft press releases in coordination with external PR firm

· Track media about NDC and PROMISE Act and share with internal and external audiences as appropriate.

· Ensure branding standards across all collateral, including workshop presentations, info sessions, etc.

· Coordinate details for community events including scheduling, materials, and communication.

· Provide onsite support at events as needed.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, or related field or equivalent professional experience

· Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans aligned with overall program objectives, ensuring a cohesive and integrated message.

· Excellent writing skills with experience in writing copy for a variety of platforms

· Comfort in working with technologies such as Microsoft Suite, HubSpot, Squarespace. and Asana

· Ability to project manage with external consultants.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly driven environment and to create structure within ambiguity.

· Energetic collaborator that can balance positivity and genuine enthusiasm with truthful and insightful analysis.

· Passion for working in the community, talking to entrepreneurs and organizations.

- Coordinate event marketing efforts, including digital marketing campaigns, copywriting for promotional materials, and content marketing strategies
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences and develop effective event strategies
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to create visually appealing event materials
- Collaborate with advertising sales teams to secure sponsorships and partnerships
- Assist with product management for event-related initiatives
- Analyze event data and provide insights using analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- Implement marketing automation strategies to streamline event processes

```Qualifications```
- Proven experience in event planning or related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in digital marketing strategies and techniques
- Copywriting skills for creating compelling event materials
- Research skills to identify target audiences and market trends
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for designing event materials
- Experience in advertising sales or partnership development is a plus
- Knowledge of product management principles is preferred
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics is a plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
