Do you have an excellent attention to detail and a desire to provide a clean, safe space for our agency's program participants? Neighborhood House Association is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Maintenance Director to supervise and coordinate our maintenance and custodial activities.
About the Position –
As the Director of our maintenance team, you will oversee the building, vehicles, and grounds maintenance and cleaning. You will administer all cleaning and maintenance schedules. You will monitor the upkeep of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You will manage inventory and order supplies necessary for overall agency cleanliness and safety. You will uphold OSHA safety rules and regulations for custodial supplies and equipment usage. You will prepare and implement scheduling of monthly fire and safety drills. You will perform inventory of all asset items and report all asset disposals. You will coordinate major infrastructural improvement projects involving multiple contractors. You will develop all custodial staff through continuous quality supervision and training. You will typically work Monday through Friday during daytime hours, but special projects may alter typical working hours on occasion.
About You –
You should have strong mechanical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively with others. You must have a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of building management and supervisory experience. You should have experience working with contractors and a bid process. You should have some computer experience with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. You must have a valid driver's license. You must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal background check. You must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
