POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor oversees the day to day field operations of the energy services programs, and is accountable for the overall coordination and completion of program production requirements. This position works with other program managers and departments to maintain accurate and complete records to meet program standards and guidelines. The Production Supervisor directly supervises Quality Control Inspectors and provides troubleshooting guidance as needed. This position is responsible for managing program activities, paperwork and reporting requirements of all field staff to ensure attainment of program goals and objectives; ensures all job safety and program compliance is followed.
The role of the Production Supervisor also includes overall programmatic quality control, as well as tracking and documentation of labor and material cost
LEVEL OF WORK
Middle level management. Typically manages supervisors, project leaders and/or multiple staff in one or more related functions or projects. Prepares and conducts performance reviews, makes salary recommendations, develops work group strategy and execution plan with assistance from manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Directly supervise the Quality Control Inspectors. Ensure that jobs are completed, including all relevant inspections, permits, work orders, work and invoicing have been completed and documented prior to final review and billing. Assure completion of all weatherization jobs with efficiency and accuracy. Monitor the activities and paperwork of all field staff to ensure completion of program goals and objectives. Ensure work is being completed in a reasonable amount of time.
2. Manage and maintain a tracking system for program production information to assure program goals are met. Ensure program reports are accurate. Oversee production of reports by others.
3. Prepare monthly reports on job counts and status reports of jobs in progress from QCI reports and production tracking system, and report to Director of Energy Services bi-weekly/monthly as required.
4. Assist in conducting initial inspections/energy audits, and/or final inspections as needed to ensure program production requirements are met.
5. Oversee the compliance and implementation of work safety procedures and all safety related Rules & Regulations. Ensure regulations are up to date. Prepare all incident and accident reports.
6. Oversee all client concerns and complaints related to field staff. Assure that client concerns and complaints were addressed properly and resolved.
7. Assist with on-site training for new employees and/or any required training programs.
8. Coordinate scheduling with QCIs to accommodate illnesses, vacations and training.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations or Construction Management or related coursework preferred.
Minimum five years of supervisory experience in any combination of weatherization, home construction, remodeling or carpentry.
Technical understanding of heating system fundamentals and thorough knowledge of DOE materials standards and practice highly desired. Demonstrated knowledge of current industry testing processes and equipment is preferred.
Working knowledge of construction, specifically carpentry and use of power tools, safe work practices, and fundamentals of building science. Basic construction math skills, including ability to read and take measurements.
Must have completed and passed COAD, BPI or other equivalent training.
Must be able to perform building diagnostic testing with blower door and furnace testing.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent and use of a computer.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Nature of work requires an ability to physically bend, lift up to 80 pounds, work in attic and crawlspaces with clearances as low as 24 inches, crawl in small places, and climb ladders.
Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files. May require evening and weekend hours as business needs demand. Also requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings
