As a Platform Engineer Intern, you will be an integral part of our Cloud Application Platform team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of our core platform infrastructure. This role offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building and supporting the technology that powers our organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Platform Development: Assist in the development and enhancement of our platform's core infrastructure, including servers, databases, networking, and cloud services. 2. Automation and Scripting: Contribute to automating routine tasks and create scripts to streamline system administration and maintenance. 3. Monitoring and Performance: Collaborate with the team to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring optimal platform uptime and performance. 4. Security: Assist in implementing security best practices to safeguard our platform, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability assessments. 5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for platform configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. 6. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to support the development, deployment, and scaling of applications on the platform. 7. Problem-Solving: Participate in identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of the platform. Qualifications: • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and system administration. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • A passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic engineering environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous internship or coursework related to system administration, DevOps, or platform engineering. • Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git). • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
