The Software QA Engineer creates and maintains test cases and automated test suites. This position focuses on both manual testing and building automation to test the product, prevent defects, and improve quality. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites. 2. Work effectively to define testable user stories, especially acceptance criteria with Product Owners and stakeholders. 3. Create, design, and execute test strategies, including writing test plans, test cases and test scenarios. 4. Evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality. 5. Respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving automated tests. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience. EXPERIENCE: 1. 2 years of experience with NBS products or similar position at another company. 2. 1 years of experience with programming and automated testing tools. COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: 1. Analytical and detail oriented. 2. Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure. 3. Good time management skills to plan and organize own work. 4. Ability to learn test framework and testing tools used by the team. 5. Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
