POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Ski or Snowboard Instructor, you will be responsible in producing an exceptional guest service experience at the Peak. This position is accountable for teaching the guest fundamentals of snow sports at various lesson times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Provide excellent customer service to our clients and their guests, third party and direct bookings.
- Conduct ski or snowboard lessons as needed.
- Instruct basic snow sport principles, including stops, turns, and lift operations.
- Instruct secondary principles of snow sports and group fundamentals.
- Responsible for total guest satisfaction of lesson
- Ability to assess a guest’s current ski capabilities and formulate an effective program.
- Responsible for operating the ski lift, facilitating tubing, helping with the rental shop, and facilitating Ice Skating.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
- PSIA/AASI certification is preferred but not required.
- Previous ski instructor experience is preferred.
- Ability to formulate individual ski and snow sport lessons based on a guests’ current knowledge of basic ski functions.
- Ability to build effective relationships to ensure quality working relationships with all departments.
- General knowledge of the surrounding areas and attractions.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as through experience with skiing and snowboarding.
